Today was my nephew's baptism. We are so proud of Bryson for getting baptized! Kaylie asked me on the way home why Chris shoved Bryson under the water like that. I tried to explain to her that that is how you are baptized. She then said that she doesn't want to be baptized! We'll have to get her over her fear of water this summer. When we got home Jeff helped me weed and Kaylie and Ashley helped me plant our tomatoes and zucchini. (Better late than never!)YUMMY! Kaylie is getting really good at planting, she helped me plant our flowers and informed me that the garden is hers. However, Ashley wasn't really sure what you do with dirt, she rubbed it around in her hands for a while, she ate it, and she threw it. She really had fun but didn't like it when she kept rubbing her face and it kept getting more dirt in her mouth and eyes. These pictures were taken while she was still having fun. It's fun to play in the dirt! Oh to be a toddler again and discover the world by putting everything in your mouth :)

House update....
There are always different things I like about each house I see. It's fun seeing ours come together. When it comes down to it I'm just so happy that we will have a place of our own! I hope we like the finished product!!!
Congratulations Jeff!!

What do I do?
Yesterday was an interesting day at our house! We had tacos for dinner, normally the girls both love tacos so it was a no brainer since Jeff and I both had to work. This is what happened at dinner: (The all capital letters indicate yelling)!
Kaylie: "Oh my HELL, I'm not eating this! My tortilla fell apart."
Mom: "Excuse you little girl! What did you just say?"
Kaylie: "I didn't say a bad word, I WAS SPEAKING IN SPANISH."
As Jeff and I tried to hide our giggles we were astonished at this phrase our child just used! We asked her what she said and she didn't repeat it again so we let it go. After dinner Kaylie came with me to Costco. I looked out the window as we were getting out of the car to go into Costco and I told her it looked like it was going to rain. Kaylie screamed up into the sky, "Jesus, don't let it rain, I hate the rain!" Then she turned to me and said, "Don't worry mom, I just told Jesus not to let it rain."
I'm at a loss for what to do. I don't know where she learned this phrase, we have been trying to teach her appropriate usage for Jesus and God for quite a while, however, I am stumped. Are we bad parents, is this just a stage?????? I would love any suggestions! Please I'm begging here!

Kaylie's big race!
Kaylie and I ran a race Saturday for Mother's day. It was a lot of fun and she did really well. She was a little stressed out that her cousins were beating her but we kept reminding her it was just for fun. She was elated when she got to the finish line and everyone was cheering for her and she got a medal. She is such a sweetie. We love you Kaylie!
